Accidental Hat (Needlepoint Canvas, Class, Stitch Guide and Video Tutorials)
Posted on July 22 2016
The VIRTUAL NEEDLEPOINT CLASS you have all been waiting for is finally here! A year ago, we fell in love with the artwork of Carolyn Schmitz’s Accidental Hat. As described on her website, this beautiful art showcases “a baby javelina taking cover beneath a blooming prickly pear cactus amid a tangle of wildflowers. At her feet are blackfoot daisies, desert trumpets, chinchweed. Mojave aster, globemallow, and angel trumpets in position over a cactus pad convince a passing raven that she is wearing a fetching little hat.” So whimsical and colorful! We are thrilled to say that Barbara Elmore has adapted Carolyn Schmitz’s artwork into stunning needlepoint canvases! The Accidental Hat was the first of a series of three exclusive Carolyn Schmitz/Barbara Elmore needlepoint canvases taught at BeStitched Needlepoint, and we are now opening up The Accidental Hat to all needlepointers with a virtual class! What is included in this virtual class? You will LOVE this! We offer the Accidental Hat canvas shipped directly to your home, a full stitch guide created by Lisa Kessler to download and 9 video tutorials that can be watched over and over, that will help our needlepoint friends with the more challenging areas. The class includes: canvas, stitch guide, and thread kit. The canvas is on 18ct, and the painted area is approximately 9.75″x 9.75″. Two options for you to choose from.
