Grand Opening Hoopla!!
Posted on June 13 2011
Thank you, thank you to everyone who attended our Grand Opening Hoopla! Our 1st week was a HUGE success. We had many excited stitchers who had been waiting patiently for our opening. There were rave reviews about the needlepoint store, the color combinations and fun black/white checkered flooring. Even our refreshments …pink and green cupcakes reflected the whimsical, easy going atmosphere.
Wendy Harwood did more stitch guides in two days than she has ever done. She was exhausted and thrilled at the same time. Her trusty side kick Missy Gray and our dear friend from Baltimore, pulled threads for all of the guides as fast as Wendy could write them. Stitchers were excited to meet Wendy and Missy and sat down for a few quick ribbon lessons along the way!
We want to send a BIG thank you to the gals from some of the other local needlepoint stores in the area who came in to give their congratulations, support and best wishes! We are all excited to work as a team and continue to expand the “stitching community”.
BeStitched Needlepoint was featured on some blog posts and we greatly appreciate your posts & helping us spread the word:

Keep watching our blog and web site for more timely information including specialty classes. Wendy has a return engagement in September to teach a fabulous piece involving felting, beading and ribbon flowers! WOW…it is a stunner! We are also lucky enough to have Barbara Elmore in November teaching a beautiful piece. It is very different and you will enjoy her one of kind techniques as well. We are awaiting both finished projects in the store. Contact us for exact dates and to get your names on the reservation lists. There are a limited number of spaces.
In the meantime, thanks again and keep checking the web site and face book for more updates!

Just want to add how much I enjoyed my visit to the beautiful opening of BeStitched! What a pleasure to see the shop and see you all again! I’m so looking forward to teaching in November and would like to make a correction to your announcement about the class. The piece I’ll be stitching is not the same project that I’ll be teaching for ANG. Guild projects are never taught commercially.
Hope roses you soon!
Barbara
Thank you Barbara for your nice email. We apologize for the confusion. Of course we remember you saying the ANG piece was a different project. We will correct the information.
Thanks for checking in with us! Look forward to seeing you!
